Think about this for a moment – the past and future are simply representations of what has happened, or what might happen. You can’t change the past, but you can change your representation of it. The future may or may not happen as you intend, but you are in this current moment, right now. That is what you have the most influence over. This is living.
Many of us can become stuck in the past, and many of us can also become stuck in the future – often creating a world which is less awesome too often (haven't we all?).
Remember what it was like to be a kid?
Experiencing the world in the way that was interesting and exciting. Every day was a new learning experience, living in the moment, where worries and stresses were...what worries and stresses? That's right, most of us have already experienced The Juicy Effect.
When you consider how much we can learn from our past experiences, are things really that different to when we were kids? Perhaps things only became serious when we grew up because we allowed them to.
The Juicy Effect leaves negative emotions where they belong, in the past, and concentrates energy on right now. Yes, planning and goal setting are important in order to create and experience a wonderful future – however it is also important to fully experience what is happening now.
Let's agree that most of us can hold on too tightly to the past, or spend too much time in a future that hasn’t happened yet. In other words, It is part of being human.
The good news is that through experience, we discovered a few short and simple daily routines which can make a significant difference to our overall wellbeing. They worked so well for us in fact, that we created a 33-day challenge. Check it out for yourself.
